As a partner since 2016 and member of the executive leadership team, Jeremy is accountable for providing day-to-day oversight of agency operations, including growth, profitability and client retention.
Jeremy also focuses on the personal and professional growth of WordWrite team members by helping them develop solutions to the challenges they confront in their specific roles. At the client level, Jeremy oversees account leaders in developing the objectives and strategies that align with industry best practices.
Jeremy joined WordWrite in 2011 from the marketing and business development department at law firm Burns White LLC, where he helped establish the firm’s attorneys as thought leaders within their practice areas, handled media relations and managed the firm’s website and social media program. Prior to Burns White, Jeremy managed media relations and print advertising for nationally-renowned musical theater producer Pittsburgh CLO. And before diving into public relations with Culver Academies, Jeremy spent a few years as an award-winning sports writer in suburban Columbus, Ohio, with the Marion Star and ThisWeek Community Newspapers. His work has appeared in dozens of daily and weekly newspapers, most notably The Canton (Ohio) Repository, The Columbus Dispatch and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
A cum laude graduate of Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism, and member of the Kappa Tau Alpha National Journalism Honor Society, Jeremy spent his first two years of college at Hobart (N.Y.) College, where he earned two varsity letters as a member of the NCAA Division III men’s hockey team.
As an active member of the community, Jeremy is currently the Mt. Lebanon High School varsity hockey team head coach. He was elected to the Mt. Lebanon Community Foundation Board of Directors in 2014 and has been a member of the Mt. Lebanon Hockey Association board since 2017. Jeremy is a Level 4 USA Hockey certified coach with 20 years experience, including six years coaching and recruiting for Culver Military Academy, one of the top prep school hockey programs in the country. A former head coach at Shady Side Academy, Jeremy also spent five years as an assistant coach with the Mt. Lebanon High School varsity program and has coached multiple age groups for the Mt. Lebanon Hornets youth program for seven seasons.
THREE THINGS THAT MIGHT SURPRISE YOU
- 1.Jeremy has played with and against dozens of Division I college hockey players, NHL draft picks and professionals. More than a dozen of his former players at Culver went on to earn Division I scholarships, two were drafted in the National Hockey League and one reached the NHL in 2016.
- 2.He played high school football and was a two-year, two-way starter at running back and safety, earning his team’s best defensive back award as a senior.
- 3.Originally, Jeremy planned to major in film studies, which explains his ongoing love of movies.
